What is the Liz Jordan-Hill Fabric Wyzenbeek Fabric Double Rub Durability Test? - Liz Jordan-Hill Fabrics

What is the Liz Jordan-Hill Fabric Wyzenbeek Fabric Double Rub Durability Test?

In the US, the Wyzenbeek fabric durability test is often used instead of the European Martindale test.

The Wyzenbeek method, also known as the Wyzenbeek rub test, simulates the natural wear of a seat cover, in which the textile sample is rubbed against a standard abrasive surface with a specified force.

In the US commercial-grade fabric starts at 50,000 rubs, which is Liz Jordan-Hill Aquaclean fabric's durability number. Because of this high number, in a residential setting, our fabrics will last through lifetime of abuse and performance!

The higher the number the better the endurance of the fabric, and durability from say the rivets in jeans rubbing against the fabric.

All of our fabric patterns qualify for commercial heavy-duty use. We always want to deliver the best products possible: beautiful, durable and functional. Learn more about our fabric.
